Why I Work at Redpath

For this month’s blog, I interviewed a couple of our stellar employees and asked them to describe their experience working at Redpath. I met with Amanda Isaacson, a Sr. Marketing Automation Consultant who has been on the Redpath team since June, and Jeff Fenner, a Sr. Nonprofit Consultant who has been here since January 2016.

Tell us a little about yourselves – how did you end up at Redpath, and what do you do here?

AI: I’ve known co-founder Paul for 10 years and have worked with Redpath in many capacities during that time. I recently joined the team as a marketing automation consultant. What inspired me to join the team is the authentic culture – the Redpath team is very true to who they are and always puts the customer first. I’ve been in marketing automation since 2009 as an independent consultant and am enjoying the chance to carve my own path here at Redpath. The team and collaboration are great as well – it’s great to have a group of experts to rely on.

JF: I’ve also known Redpath for quite a while – I met the Redpath team when I started the Nonprofit Salesforce User Group about 7 years ago and ended up passing the group off to some of the great people at Redpath (Nick & Steph). I joined the Redpath team just over two years ago. I am a Sr Consultant on the nonprofit team, and what I love about working here is the team spirit, collaboration, and feeling of equality on the team. Everyone on the team has something unique to contribute, and it’s been very exciting to help shape Redpath’s delivery processes.

What are some of your favorite things about working at Redpath?

AI: The collaboration and teamwork are amazing here – everyone can have a seat and voice at the table, which is so important in an organization. Redpath is a very forward-thinking organization that truly appreciates feedback and is very transparent.

JF: It doesn’t always feel like work. Most of the time it’s fun, it’s light. I’m proud of what I do and what Redpath does.

What sets Redpath apart in the world of Salesforce partners?

AI: The amount of effort that goes into our discovery process, and the amount of transparency there, is unparalleled. We bring a strategic business approach to every project that we do. We bring business acumen and best practices as well as technical expertise.

JF: Ditto everything Amanda said. It’s real, it’s authentic. Everyone here works hard to get it done – we dig in, we get it done, and we provide the best service to our clients. We all truly do our best.

If you had to describe Redpath’s culture in a few words, what would you say?

AI: Respectful, collaborative, and creative.

JF: I use the word collaborative all the time. Creative is a good one too. The authentic collaborative creativity we have on the team is apparent in our work. The goal for us is that every time someone goes into a Redpath Salesforce org, they are wowed.

What words of advice would you give an aspiring Salesforce consultant interested in working at Redpath?

AI: Bring your insights to the table. Be ready to learn, grow, and be challenged. If you just want a place to come to work every day, this isn’t the place. We all come to work every day asking “What are we going to achieve? What are we going to solve, and how can I learn from the team around me to solve it?”

JF: Be prepared to step outside the box. And be prepared to have fun. My first calendar invitation at Redpath was for Team Happy Hour.
