People Serving People is one of Minnesota’s leading resources for families and individuals experiencing homelessness. In addition to providing a safe place for those in need, People Serving People also offers programs that aid in homelessness prevention.
For years, the staff at People Serving People did this vital work using an outdated CRM that did not meet their needs. Andrea Nordick-Stone, who leads Development for People Serving People shared the following about the former system’s performance, “The database we had before was bare-bones at best. All it really allowed us to do was see people’s names, addresses, and when they gave. So for anyone in the fundraising world, you know that that’s not the story–that’s not everything you need to know.” The system’s inability to track donor preferences, personalized giving opportunities, and additional information that could deepen connection limited People Serving People’s fundraising capacity.
